(o.O) Little Brown

So I've been roaming the marketplace looking for great fantasy outfits, but I didn't want to leave out some very nice things you can get on a budget either. The first of the "Market Cheapies" series is Little brown, by (o.O). Strange name, but adorable for the price. All of the market cheapies are 10L or less, and this one is no exception. There are some flaws.. but for the price, it can't be beat really. It comes with all sorts of accessories, and ways to wear, and worth the time to look at. You can find this lil number at the marketplace, I'm sure you'll enjoy it and every combination it has to offer.

Graves – Mainframe

I am not into cyberpunk, or latex fetish… but I stumbled upon this and the geek in me fell in love… Jackie Graves, proprietor and designer of GRAVES - Leather/Latex/Metal had came up with this little number in homage of the latest in the movie series TRON - Legacy. As always her texturing is quite something and the suit hugs the curves and makes things pop as good latex should. She has does some of the best latex work I have seen in SL and is really par none.

The outfit comes with numerous layer options and disk attachments, for all the gladiators of the game grid out there fighting for the Users. The detailing really is quite something; to me it really captured the look of the latest Tron films.

Though I was surprised that the boot was primarily prim work but a sculpted was used for the main body, but it captured the feel over all and still looked good. All in all not too many complaints with this one, other then the boots were sold as a separate rather then with the outfit.

Now all I need to do is get me a light cycle and hit the Tron Legacy Adventures Sim.

Outfit: GRAVES - G236 Mainframe - Black & Blue, Skins : *League* Taylor, Boots: GRAVES - G247 Mainframe Boots - Black & Blue, Hair: [ elikatira ] Rush, Eyes: Poetic Colors, Eye Make-Up: -Glam Affair - facial tattoo TDR11

Fantasy Faire 2011

So I found along my wandering in SL that the Fantasy Faire 2011 was on from April 2nd – April 10th, an event show casing fantasy merchants in SL and trying to raise funds in support of Relay for Life. So I dawned my most outlandish fantasy look for the event. I decided that why not go all Drow for the experience and walk around as a drak elf from the UnderDark. So I dawned my white wispy hair, dark skin, elven ears and put on a outfit by Lucia Cyr Owner and designer of [LH] LostHaven. The outfit is [LH] Drow Priestess of Lolth. I have always admired Lucia’s work, but not normally a designer I would wear but Drow females have never been known for being dainty and demure and the outfit screams devotee of Lolth. Her sculpt and texture work quite something. The outfit comes with skin and ears for those who don’t have their own already, making the outfit well worth the price tag. A creator that would appeal to darker fantasy cowed, especially men. She puts great detail and care in all her work and her texture skills are really quite something.

Outfit - [LH] Drow Priestess of Lolth, Hair - Maitreya Faye White, Skin - The Plastik - Miliana Drow Rome, Eyes - Emortal Drow EyeZ ~Red Fury~, Ears - The Plastik - Elven Ears - Chessni, Boots - Kboots – Black

Continue to the full page post on The Fantasy Faire 2011 and a slide show of sim shots... but back to fashion...

Finally the only purchase I made at the fair to support the cause was from “Evie’s Closet” a long time and well known creator in SL for her fantasy and formal attire. Wandering into her vendor, which was front and centre at the TP point into the sim, there is a little bargain at the entrance but that wasn’t what I purchased. I ended picking up one of the Relay for Life options. *Evie's Closet* Amarie's Bower - RFL 2011, in a stunning eggplant and rust colouration a darling little fantasy dress ideal for the Fae community. Her texturing and prim work have just gotten better over they years is all I have to say. There is also a long skirt option so with some crative layering I am sure even the Gorean Free Woman could put this little outfit to use. Though I was disappointed she forgot to change permissions on the cuffs to the gloves so that they were mod-a-ble but over all I am stoked about this find and in a limited colour offering only available as a Relay for Life purchase.

Only negative criticism I have for the whole event is that I was disappointed there was no note card readily available that I was able to find, listing the creators participating and what sim they could be located in, as you never really get a chance to see it all the first time round. It was a wonderful tour and I know I must go back just too truly enjoy and appreciate the event and builds again. Too much to see and tell about, an event you really must go see for your self and enjoy getting lost in a world of fantasy.

Juicee: Briney and Stolla

Today, I'm totally feeding my quirks. Arrrrrr! I admit I love a good pirate outfit. I ventured out today to a sweet little store called Juicee. It has just about anything you could ever need for gorean wear, and beyond. I found two outfits that I just couldn't say no to. Something for the pirate in ya, and something else for your roman-esque needs. If you're wondering where you can snag these two, you can visit her In world store or you can go to the Marketplace store and get a good peek at what Juicee has got going on.

Briney

The first outfit of the two I'm going to review is Briney. It's of course, the pirate outfit! Just wearing it made me want to jump for joy and pull out my pirate talker. Yes, me maties! This be our buried treasure! Alright.. no more pirate speak, but seriously, this outfit is rockin! With about 8 different ways to wear it, there is no going wrong here. With or without the jacket, with or without the skirt, and two incredible sets of pants, I'm in heaven. One pair of pants is modest and covers everything.. but the other.. hooboy, it's open with dangly ties, like you just got off the head in a hurry because someone's trying to take your booty! Complete with ruffles, jacket, shirt, eyepatch, hat, boots, skirt and the awesomeness pants, you'll find it as hard to say not to this outfit as I did.

Stolla

There's been a real rush for good roman fantasy outfits, and it seems that Juicee is up to the task. Simple and sleek, Stolla just takes your breath away. It comes with and without sculpted top and with a sheer cover over the breasts, so the girls are there, but not completely. Personally, I like the layered effect, making the chest a little less noticeable, but still a focal point. Of course, you could always wear it without any top at all if you're feeling particularly naughty. With jewelry, and options, this outfit is a real steal.

!Damned! Tristabelle and Tilly

!DAMNED
Today I'm doing a review on two outfits I stumbled across on the marketplace. Have I told you I love the marketplace?! Both of these loverly pieces come from the creative mind of Apolonia Anatine and the crew at !Damned!  So wondering where to buy these beauties? You can visit the !Damned Mainstore of you can go to her Marketplace store to peruse her wares.

Tristabelle

Scarlet and red and oh so yummy! I tried this on and the first thing I thought was YES! My inner goth just oooooozed with delight. This is perfect for roleplaying in a vampy sim, but it totally crosses barriers and goes really for any roleplay.. as long as you have a dark side. I know this comes in other colors, but I'm just in lust with the red and black combo. And the little hat! OMG! I loooove the little hat with the rose flourishes. The tops are interchangeable, so if you're feeling particularly fiesty you can totally show off the girls *wink wink, nudge nudge* Twas a bit steep for my frugal wallet, but totally worth the pricetag.

Tilly

This one is so simple and yet totally awesome. You can't see everything obviously.. silly hair getting in the way :P Perfectly priced for something easy, simple and versatile. Great for Gor or for those new and ever so popular Roman sims. You just can't go wrong with a classic.

Snatched: Aroree

So someone had to do a first post, and that someone is me! Welcome to Door Sticky, the blog that is your little reminder of what's what, who's where, and uhm.. well you get the drift. We're going to explore the wide world of Second Life, seeking out everything fantasy, from clothes, to sims, to accessories and more. And of course, there's going to be a smidge of shameless self promotion here, but there won't be favoritism. So without further ado.. The very first review!

Snatched - Aroree

So the first outfit I'm reviewing is Aroree. This beauty comes in a couple of colors, though my favorite is brown. It has a huge assortment of attachments and various styles. This really speaks to my inner steampunk, and will totally fit into nearly any fantasy sim, from Victorian-esque to Gorean roleplays.

The accessories really make this outfit though. With hat options, goggles, gloves, and boots. Although it's a bit on the pricey side, this is definitely worth the investment. If you're interested, you can visit the Snatched Store or buy it directly on Marketplace . I took some more pictures and did absolutely no editing beyond cutting and pasting!
